Why was Alternative Life Association (AYDER) founded?
The foundation of Alternative Life Association dates back to 2002, when the Alternative Camp project was initiated.In 5 years, more than 2500 handicapped people and more than 600 local and foreign volunteers have taken part in this project, which is a composition of vacation, sports, education and integration elements. When the project reached out to such wide masses of people and brought a positive influence into the lives of participants, the result clearly showed that the approach, which supported the Alternative Camp project, was the proper one as to the solution of this problem. AYDER was founded as an extension of Alternative Camp project, in order to put this approach into effect in other innovative programs and projects which are aimed at the solution of disability problem.

For what Alternative Life Association is an alternative?
In projects drawn up for the handicapped and socially disadvantaged groups, AYDER acts by thinking beyond the limits, and works to continuously increase the quality of prevalent conditions. The goal is to achieve an ideal way of living, which is obstacle-free, more liberated, independent and beyond what is offered to these groups. Hence, it is an alternative aiming at changing the current order.

For whom does AYDER work?
AYDER works for all physically and mentally disabled, hearing and visually impaired; all socially disadvantaged groups, problematic and deprived youth, chronic disease groups and various deprived groups.

What are the current activities by AYDER?

1. AYDER continues its activities incessantly in summer from May 1 to October 30, together with the volunteers and participants at Alternative Camps.
2. It continues working on other active projects.
3. It creates new projects and tries to reach out to as many disabled people and socially disadvantaged groups as possible.
4. It voluntarily supports other projects and activities undertaken for socially disadvantaged groups and the disabled.
5. It gives an initiative and responsibility to young people, and provides them with the support necessary for them to generate and implement their own projects related to social matters.
6. In addition to working for the making of physical arrangements and improvements necessary for the personal mobility of the disabled in public areas, it also works for the creation of obstacle-free environments.
7. It participates in local and foreign fairs, conferences and seminaries, and organizes workshops.

How do the members contribute to AYDER?
Our members may contribute to the projects and activities undertaken as much as they wish, depending on their personal talents and interests. They may choose one or more of the projects and participate in it, or may design their original projects and implement them with us.
"Corporate" or "Personal" sponsorship is possible for AYDER projects which aim at "Social Transformation" In their efforts. Our sponsors continue supporting our projects through their monetary and in-kind donations.

What is the meaning of “AYDER Enterprise Services Solution Partner”?
We define all foundations and institutions which voluntarily support AYDER in certain areas of activity (advertisement, communication, services, etc.) as our "solution partners". Our solution partners transfer a portion of the income which is obtained from the clients who apply to them via AYDER, to the projects of the association as a source.
