The guidebook is being prepared for Alternative Camp volunteers and volunteer leaders. Some of the contents of the guidebook will be: History of Alternative Camp, definition, philosophy, aims and goals, Standards and principles of Alternative Camp, Volunteering and being a volunteer at Alternative Camp, Types of disabilities: physical and mental, definition, basic conditions and treatment, Alternative treatment, Physical education and handicaps, suitable sports for handicapped people, Special Olympics and Paralympics, Handicapped Scuba diving, Glossary on terminology related to disabilities. The guidebook, including all information on handicaps and Alternative Camp, is being funded by the World Bank and will be published in October, 2006.
